What a lovely, inspiring story that teaches us about the power of prayer.
I liked the tension created when the train operator spotted the girl on the tracks and thought he'd hit her. The relief was great when he discovered her on the side of the tracks and her explanation was amazing. Congratulations on your first-place win.

Congratulations on the contest win Wendy and well deserved. Your story gave me goosebumps, especially after I read your comment. Each morning when my husband backed out I would ask my mum and dad (deceased) to watch over him and all of us, now I feel Tony will do it for us, as he had in life.
Cheers

Thank you so much Pearl for your wonderful comments and congratulations. They are greatly valued, and I am glad my story resonated with you. I believe such angelic protection is possible. Thank you too for the amazing honour of six stars. An honour!

This supernatural story, Off the Rails, gives a powerful example of prayer providing the otherworldly protection that has no earthly explanation.

A beautiful story about an angel that came in the nick of time to rescue a girl from death. We have a facility near train tracks, and it is a very treacherous sound when you get too close, and they have to stop.

Wendy,
This is a wonderful story and speaks to divine appointments as well as miracles. Such things do happen, even if they are presented as fiction. Sometimes they even make the news. Even the woman who was trapped in a sinking car with all the doors locked, but was transported to the bank of the river. There were many witnesses.

You are so welcome. It was amazing, and covered by TV news.

A very nice story for this contest, it will get my vote, good luck. An angel or maybe more than one came to the rescue of Jasmine. More than one angel because there were two people praying for different reasons. Or maybe it was a double-barrel prayer that brought one angel. Either way, it worked. Good job.

This is a nice story. I was expecting her to be a ghost. It's a shame we didn't get to see like the feathers from angel wings or something like that. I think that would'a added to your tale and helped the reader believe.

Thank you so much for reviewing. Much appreciated. Most angelic activity is not visible to human eyes, but is still undeniable, and in the Bible the only angels who are said to have wings are cherubim and seraphim. Interesting thoughts.

I've seen an angel. I have no idea what folks expect to see. But, I know what I saw. Good luck..

I absolutely DO believe in angels because one saved me. He was more real looking, dressed like a human. The Bible says we entertain angels, unawares. I believe they watch over us in ways we cannot fathom and as a direct answer to prayer.
A wonderful story for the upcoming contest, Wendy dear. Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the vote,

This is a fascinating story of an event that could have happened as described if God intervened, with or without an angel. I understand because of my own "Icy Blind Curve Encounter" thirty-two years ago last month
(https://www.fanstory.com/displaystory.jsp?hd=1&id=872244).
I had no time to pray, but don't doubt that prayer helps if timely, as it was in this story.
Because this is based on your knowledge of a comparable event that did not end well, it rings true even though it is fiction. The situations are realistic, the dialog is plausible for the circumstances, and you give us enough details to feel present in the action.
Superb, and aptly illustrated.

Thank you!! So very much appreciated. Your astute words are so encouraging. I absolutely believe such things are possible with or without our prayers. I appreciate the exceptional rating very much and value its worth. Thank you again.

I just read your story - and yes, I believe that you were miraculously saved, along with all the other people in the three cars. Fascinating story!

You are most welcome, Wendy. What are called "miracles" happen more often than most people realize because the majority occur without visible signs of divine intervention. What happened to me was like that, as I did not consider the "miracle" aspect of it until later, when I had time to think about it. :)) -- Mike
