I do believe they might finally get over the hump and become a legitimate couple, but you aren't making it easy. LOL. But I'm sure that will make the conquest all the more exciting. Thanks for sharing.

What a wonderful story. Gabriel is the perfect man and will always be there for Katherine and her boys. I eagerly await each chapter, so don't keep me waiting too long. â?º

I enjoyed this chapter, and there is a lot of honesty in each of the conversations, as they all get to understand why they are the way they are.I continue to enjoy your story. The chemo is coming up, and I find myself hoping that all goes well.

I found a couple of typos.
" there's (a) van back there", and "don't want the night (to) end.

and Mom and we are worth it." [Wow, he used proper English]

Moments later, waiter placed on the table a fruit and cheese board. [Shouldn't it be "a waiter"?]

"You've dried numerous tears. You mentioned early on that you didn't do tears." [Starting as this does with a new paragraph and with an open quote, I must assume this is Katherine speaking, but after what he had just said of Katherine, it seems an obvious follow-up observation for him to add, "You've dried numerous tears." I'm convinced you need a dialogue tag for this line.]

Any man would be proud to have you on their arm." [Of course, "on HIS arm would be grammatically correct, but perhaps not in character. That would be a judgement call.]

Great background from Katherine on the reason for her insecurities. If Gabriel steps in and takes over too frequently, that's not going to help her get over those feelings. It sounds like a lovely, romantic evening for Gabriel and Katherine. He certainly went all out with the limo. I thought it would have been nice if they had gone t a quiet, excellent restaurant, but Gabriel's reasoning made sense. Now there's the chemo for Katherine to get through. She has certainly had her share of challenges. Some notes: Can I leave Reggie here? There's a van back there. You thought of everything. judi

This is another great chapter. You moved the story along nicely. I loved the romantic date. I thought he might have popped the question....but not yet.

Thank you for the kind review. Katherine's not ready, or at least Gabriel isn't sure that she's ready.

I loved this romantic episode, I'm a romantic at heart. Even though sport was once my life, it's hard to be a sportsman and a romantic. I noticed a lot of my sporting buddies weren't the same as me, when playing. Beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy
Typo : Moments later, (a) waiter...2: You've (dried) numerous tears. Cried?
3: with (a) grin he said.4: I don't want the night (to) end.

I can understand Katherine's feelings, it doesn't take much for a man to make a woman feel insecure and worthless. But is does take an incredible man to make her realise that she is anything but worthless. I'm glad Gabe did what he did for her, it was good to relax and chat, eat and dance under the stars, especially as she will be going through chemo and all that it entails. Well done, Barbara, excellent chapter. Warn hugs, Sandra xx

Hi Barbara, this is another wonderful continuation and rather emotional. I found a few things:
Moments later, (a) waiter placed [on the table] a fruit and cheese board on the table. Reads smoother that way.
There's (a) van back there
With fringe said,= With a grin he said,
Looking forward to it what's next. Ulla:)))
