This gentle poem reminds the reader of walks in lovely places where nature replaces the hum of social life. The rhyme scheme and meter are skillful, although I can find places where a different choice of words might have made an improvement. Take line 6 and 7; replace them with "Relieves the swelter of heat, midday/ In this, my gentle spot, I stay. " I don't know that this can be rated as better; it seems so to me, and I think this fine, reflective poem could be improved with small changes of word choice.

This is such a beautiful poem and I felt its peace and tranquillity as I read. It is an excellent entry for the Quiet contest, as it has perfect rhyme and smooth flow as well as fitting the requirements perfectly. Well done. Best wishes.
