That's so sweet! Yes, there is nothing so delightful as a child's cheerfulness and the use of alliteration is great in this 5-7-5. I like the happy use of "rain" as a source of joy and a lullaby.

Ah, when it rains, the sound does have the effect of putting people to sleep. (me too). I like the image your words invoke. The rains gain a bit of love and magic by running over the chubby cheeks of cherubs before reaching us below.
