Congratulations on your win.. It's well deserved. The more I reflect (sic) on your lune poem, the more I feel its nuances. Why it's like a meditation! With each sip of tea, warmth floods your body and the promise of the day seeps into your soul. Reflecting is equally an action. Just as sunlight wavers on the liquid, so too do thoughts come and go.
Magical, with just that soupcon of alliteration and consonance to add a soothing poetic touch.
My husband was British, born into a nation of tea drinkers. In your poem I hear an echo of his remark that there was nothing more delightful and refreshing than his early morning cup of tea, alone in the kitchen with his thoughts before I got out of bed.

Perfect little lune poem which says so much in these few words. On a literal level, there is the sunrise reflected in the tea water. On another level, it feels like the narrator is drinking in the warmth of the morning to start the day.

Sipping hot coffee as I watch the sun rise has been a morning ritual my whole life. Standing on the rail, listening to pulsating breaths as nostrils flare, thoroughbred hooves pounding in rhythm and coming closer. Then, through the fog bursts the massive beast, neck bowed and muscles flexing. Thanks for sharing.
