The rhyming scheme is different, abc, dec, fgh, ijh. I guess it is Okay. I supposed you can still visit Ireland now. Of course, the Ukraine invasion by Russians has everyone pause for paying a visit in Europe like I do.

Enjoyed your poem of the "Irish Green." I worked many years ago with a lady from Northern Ireland. She was telling her mother about the St. Patrick's Day parade and her mom told her she was becoming so American! I'm glad you are proud of your Irish heritage! Best wishes in the contest!

A very delightful poem for wearing of the green.
Since my grandfather was from Cork no doubt I too have distant relatives in the Condon clan.
This time of year, like you write, we all think about the Emerald Isle.
