Oh my goodness! That's horrifying. Thanks for the picture to bring the disastrous flood situation home.
Great job with the rhyming first two lines and the extent of this summarized in the last line.
Best wishes in the contest!

I hear you! Yes, and following so soon after last years (once in fifty years floods)! Which followed the fires of 2019-2020. Throw in an epidemic as well! Certainly a test of resilience for many Aussies. Best wishes for your timely and thoughtful entry.

You told a complete story in just 17 syllables, which I know isn't easy to do. Thank you for choosing to share your message with the community. Keep up the good work.

We've just come back from spending three weeks in Brisbane to dry, southern state of South Australia, while up we were inundated, confined to home with Covid for a week, it departed and poor old NSW was inundated, well done, an excellent post, blessings Roy

Thanks for your review Roy. Did Brissy get any of it at all? I live in the US so am only relying of the spatters of news I hear.

In the district where my daughter lives and we ?holidayed? was inundated long before Sydney, 1007 mm fell in three days, a little Brook nearby became a raging torrent, she had to empty the swimming pool several times to stop it flooding the neighbour, yep, then completely inundated Lismore in Northern NSW.

This is terrible. However, there are many changes going on in our world. The changing weather is taking a toll all around the world. And I am afraid it will not get any better. The damage is done. Global warming is a warning of what is to come. Thank you.

Thanks for your review. The weather doesn't seem to know what it's doing anywhere

Yikes! The weather seems to be getting erratic and intense in many parts of the world. Where I live in Western Canada we had a "heat dome" last summer. Intense unseasonal heat for days.
Anyways great 5-7-5

Great entry for the contest. Thank you for sharing the picture, it must be devastating to see what is happening in these floods. It seems we are hearing more and more of them in so many different parts of the world.
