"Pain, hello again, I will take care of you. Breathing in and out I cradle you and I put you to bed"

Those two lines really hit. The whole poem was wonderful, the emphasis was put on the exact right words to set the tone. Well done.

I like the picture. And this happens too often. There are many one-sided relationships. The old say, "if you cannot be with the one you love, love the one you are with".'This is easier said than done. I enjoyed reading your heartfelt poem.

Oh my goodness, a powerful piece. I wonder whether the putting to bed of pain is a once only thing or whether it has to be done many nights? When I can't sleep it is rarely for something as painful as the circumstances of your poem, but the closing down of thoughts can be SO hard.
Your poem feels very real, very natural, just the way so many of us would act in these days of social media. A great read. Thank you.

The author's words are heartfelt, detailed, kind, sad and creative. The
author conveyed well the emotions created in these words. The poem
flows and connects well. The artwork and color scheme are perfect as
they compliment this poem. Hope you are doing well!....Maria

Past joys never fade, but present sorrow can transform them into great bitterness. What could have been a joyful life becomes merely a few memories of joy that it not last.

Good luck wishes in the Free Verse Poetry contest, Gypsy. I liked the picture and your words definitely showed of a love lost and of the pain left behind. Very well done, greatly but sadly enjoyed. Blessed be n hugs.

Another fine poem, Gypsy----and tells of a situation that is painful and one that must seem very unreal, being replaced is a pain that I'm all too familiar with, unfortunately

Stunning, sad and haunting. A very beautifully written free verse of a lost love. The loneliness and hurt comes through in your words.
Good luck in the contest

Best wishes
Mary

Oh, Gypsy...free verse is meant to move the soul, and this most certainly does! I wish I could say I do not recognize the pain herein, but in fact, it stings as a fresh wound reopened. Beautifully penned, with the perfect blend of disbelief, sorrow, and grief. I've checked a Facebook page ot two myself... ouch.
