Sorry to pee on your parade -- while this is a nice and fun acrostic, it is NOT a 2D acrostic and does not observe the rules of the contest. In order for your piece to be a 2D acrostic, every word must begin with a proscribed letter, as follows:

P.. u.. p.. p.. y..
U.. p.. p.. y.. p..
P.. p.. y.. p.. u..
P.. y.. p.. u.. p..
Y.. p.. u.. p.. p..

2D acrostics are a challenging form and it is unfair to the other participants if they have to compete with non-conforming submissions. Please take a look at the examples posted in the contest rules, as well as the other entries in the contest. Thanks. I'll be more than happy to revise up this review if you write a conforming entry.

Thank you for your review. So sorry about that. I think I chose the wrong word for what is intended. I thought it came to me quite easy, when maybe it shouldn't have. Bit embarrassing, I wish I can pull it from the comp.

Yeah considering three of the five letters start with a p, it would be a pretty hard one! If you want to give it a shot though here is a list of adjectives starting with P. Although the "U"s and "Y"s might give you a lot more trouble. You certainly have options here, the easiest being just changing your word if you opt to continue, which would have my full support -- I have on a couple occasions realized I did not follow contest rules, and have started over from scratch, and copied my original entry into a new piece while editing the original into one that conforms. It would be a shame to not have the original in your portfolio after all, as on its own terms it is a fun piece. I have hosted a couple contests in which entries that totally ignored the rules ending up winning, which is why I messaged about this. If you prefer not to continue the simplest way to withdraw is just to disable the piece under the editing options (change to hidden). I think it is down somewhere at the bottom.

Thank you for your reply. I actually came 3rd. A surprise to me and I do not think I really deserve it. The voting is now complete.

I still don't understand the 2D part, but I like your acrostic puzzle about a puppy. Your cute picture of such a puppy reminds me of my very tiny Heintz 57 who has crossed the rainbow bridge.

Well done! Great picture accompanying your poem and good use of alliteration and vivid imagery. You have satisfied the requirements of the competition - not an easy one. All the best Franky
