I like this story because it has a good moral and I can relate to it. It is a good story written with a valuable meaning. The poet did a good job. I love this story and stories like this that has a good moral to it.

This is a lovely micro-story with a great I told-you-so moment and a very satisfying ending. It seems to meet the requirements for the contest. Best of luck.

I have one recommendation... If the first two paragraphs are supposed to reflect something that happened in her childhood, I would change the word "yesterday" or modify that sentence to better reflect a flashback. The use of the word "yesterday" makes it seem like something that just happened, so it's unclear at first when you jump ahead, how much time has passed.

I hope that makes sense?
