-Nice image and presentation, Val.
-Calla Lilies are so lovely.
-The syllable count is good,
along with the imagery.
-I like the personification with "proclaim."
-A good concluding line, too.
-Good luck in the contest.

Thank you, Pam. My Muse might be Kicking In a Bit. You know, I always love your input. Hugs

Spring has the hardest job as winter lingers with its strength and spring makes gentle subtle changes to persuade the winter to release its grip, a fine write and congratulations on your well deserved win, love Dolly x

Flowers are one of the signs that the seasons are changing. I love flowers though I have a black thumb and have trouble keeping them alive. I look forward to the warmth.

Calla lilies are a gentle, fragile, classical flower. They are of beauty. When Easter arrives, we always have this type of flower to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. In a few more weeks we will celebrate Easter.

Yes, Easter was my intention here. I just wanted the reader to get their own conclusion. Thank you

Very nice poem. Your poem reads and flows well. The last line of your poem says it all. Yes, I am glad Spring is here. Your picture compliments the poem very well. Nice job.

Spring always brings hope, and calla lilies in bloom to me signify spring is here and Easter Sunday is near. Your poem is happy and gives hope to a brighter future. Good luck in the contest.

(I'm not a gardener but I heard that Calla lilies are planted in spring and flower in summer. Maybe it is different where you live.)
Whatever... flowering plants in Springtime is a strong image of Hope, that life goes on, that hard times can be overcome.

You are exactly correct. You are a gardener of sorts, and truly get my little poem.
