People don't get satire (catire?), so it will be the cat lovers voting for a supposed kindred spirit.... little knowing that you shoot any cat that dares step foot on your property, and then turn it into fur booties for winter.

Lol. No, I actually love cats. We just had one die not long ago that we had for nearly 15 years. The other one we've had for a good ten so far. I love cats, just not when people win contests just because everyone else loves them too.
I love dogs too but they're a lot more maintenance and my place just isn't big enough.

You are so right that contest winners are usually voted on appeal rather than ability - in your case you sometimes manage to combine both, haha.
