How awful for your friend, and devastating to her parents and brothers, poor people, one never recovers from that. My daughter.'s friend from down the road was mad keen horsewoman, and owns an agistment property, and recently won a country cup, but maybe she's never been thrown. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

That was a close one. I'm glad you made it safely back. Obviously, you had lots of grit! I never had a chance to ride a horse but always wished to--too late now! Your description of trying to stay on the horse was very good!

One of our horses would suddenly veer into trees in an effort to rake you off against the trunk. Another would stopp suddenly, bowing his head low. Catching you off guard, you would tumble over his neck and head.

I loved your story, although it must have been a very scary experience for you. I grew up on a farm, didn't ride much, but always had horses. So sorry your friend lost her life in that manner.
