A lovely Tanka interpretation of this colourful picture for the Picture This club, June. Nicely presented too with the blue text.I like the fact that nothing's changed through the seasons, their love remains strong.
Nicely interpreted,
cheers,
valda

Rain can indeed make everything look shiny and we often miss the beauty in rain as we think of it as a nuisance, but you brought the beauty to life here June, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Your tanks is in great form, June. I like the way it perfectly describes long lasting love. Yes, the world may change around the couple, but their love remains as strong as that of the first day.
Thanks for participating.
Respectfully, Jan

-Nice artwork to write about with a good presentation, June.
-You wrote a good tanka with a good topic.
-Effective imagery sets the scene in the opening lines.
-A good pivot line.
-Very good use of color imagery in the
concluding lines, along with the message
that nothing is different between these
people except the "color of the leaves."
-Well done.

When love is real the only things that should be allowed to change are exterior things over which you have no control. Having the ability to control your emotions means that anger, jealousy and the like, should never be given a place in your lives.

Your use of personification will draw the reader in to identify. Nature is a reminder, kind and painful that things are always changing, sometimes in a beautiful way and others, in a not so pretty way. It's just the way of it. Well expressed.

A lovely tanka June. I really like this form although I haven't written one for a long while.

Yours is beautifully composed as an ekphrastic write. I love the line " hearts and hands joined together". The pivot is perfect, the keystone of the write.

Indeed, true love weathers all seasons..

Thanks for sharing this excellent response to the challenge

Stay safe and blessed

Julia
