Newly wed couples tend to think that if they have a baby they'll be even closer but what ends up happening is usually the father is jealous of the mother because the baby is with the mother more often and is closer to her closer to her.

Rather than bring them closer together that divides them further. However if people are able to endure the way it seems to be happening here then it just goes on and on and more people join. I like your summary closing.

Hi Liz, and thank you for reviewing my first reviving post. I was so young when I was first married and we had our share of ups and downs like all couples. However, jealousy was one problem we never had, as we both adored our children equally. He worked so much when the kids were little, so he does wish that had been different.

However, living with his parents wasn't always easy, so I was certainly happy to get into our own house. Yikes. LOL

I hope my poem didn't reflect anything except me talking about how fast it went and that we were a loving family. I am happy to say that if it had been different, I fear we wouldn't be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in almost exactly a month. So I am very proud of that and will be reviving one more on our anniversary.

Thanks so very much, my dear friend for your lovely comments and I am glad you liked the ending too. Hugs and lotsa love, Debi

Your poem only reflected exceptional facts about a relationship

Thanks Hon, yes, I just wanted you to know that I was only speaking of my own. But sadly you are right that there are so many situations where life isn't as happy. And believe me, we had our ups and downs and so many said it wouldn't last and I think that gave us the courage to fight a little harder.

I did love your comments as we were a minority. But LOL, certainly not when it comes to blinking. Isn't that amazing how fast it has gone?

Absolutely. That's why writing my autobiography is fascinating to me.

Is it out now? I for sure want to get a copy of it. Where can I buy it?

Tor should be out by next week. It takes a few days to get it up & running on Amazon. I'll joyously announce it as soon as it is available.

Awe, thank you John. I think. LOL.. actually this may be a little different for me, but I did think it was one of my more clever ones. But no worries, I knew what you meant and that you were giving me a compliment.

Actually I didn't realize how little I knew about writing until I was here for a while, but I am thankful to have learned so much and now have the most wonderful people to call family. With a few like yourself who are among my very favorites of either world. Thanks for being that slightly younger brother and friend. Thanks also for the lovely stars you sent my way too.
    Love ya, Debi

Congratulations on your win! I'm guessing this was for a blind contest because I hadn't reviewed it before. And we can all relate how time flew by in a "blink" but we are thankful for our families!

Hi Helen, thanks for the congrats. I hadn't been here long when I wrote this but it still surprised me how many had not reviewed it. It had many but so many of them are gone now. Thanks for always being so kind.
    Lotsa love, Debi

Hey Ric, thanks so very much for your congrats and your kind comments for this oldie. It doesn't resemble any of my work now, but I was kinda new here and had a little different style. Yet, I love fun and it was fun for me to write.

So thanks again, my very dear friend. Love, Debi

Hi there, you sweetheart you. I enjoy any day I see my NanaGaye.

Thank you so much for all the kind words and special things you said about my older poem. I love how this seems to resonate with so many, as I always thought that time would never move that fast until I got in my fifties and then wow, they were speeding by.

Thanks again and for the six stars too, my sweet friend. Lotsa love, Debi

Ain't that the truth. It does seem like the blink of an eye. You want them to go back to being little, yet your heart is so proud of their growth and accomplishments. This was a very well written poem that most can identify with. Gretchen

I always tell my grandson who turns 5 next month to stop growing up. It was like yesterday he was just a baby in my arms. Time does blink, and before you know it booms. I am thankful for the blessing I have as I see you are too. A wonderful piece that made me all warms and fuzzy inside.

I love this poem. It says what I think almost every day now. SLOW DOWN, WORLD! How did I get this old? How is my daughter a grown woman, older than I was when I had her? How is my wedding dress almost 48 years old? How can i make it slow down? Thanks for sharing and congratulations on the win!

Wow, was this just a year ago your wrote this? I must've blinked big time. I love this, and I can relate on so many levels.

It feels like only yesterday I was Sally on the Frozen Prairie of Upstate New York freezing my southern, sanctified ass off! I exchanged my flip flops and sundresses for boots and down coats. Those were my child bearing years too. I lost my first child in the second trimester after I slipped and fell on ice. I just about bled to death. Thankfully Jack rushed me to the hospital and I was spared, but I lost a precious boy.

A year later we had Jared,;then Aaron right after him; then Adam two years later. We were back in Florida when Adam arrived.

Life clips along at a fast pace and changes seem never ending. It's wonderful we have both have lived to see our grandchildren and to write so much great stuff to leave behind.

I'm so very blessed to have met you, Debi. You're an unexpected gift and blessing in my older, quieter life.

Thank you for sharing this delightful poem.

Love and blessings always,
Your BBB xoxo xoxo's!

Hahaha! Sally, I just realized I never thanked you for this one. Sorry about that.

So now I thank you so much for all the kind words and special things you said about my older poem. I love how this seems to resonate with so many, as I always thought that time would never move that fast until the older I got, the faster they were moving. Funny how that works. LOL

Thanks again my beautiful friend. Lotsa love, Debi

This was great, a happy family is worth millions, six grandchildren are certainly a handful, I'll bet the holidays are a lot of fun, no errors on this one.

Life always has the normal ups and downs, and those times when we can put on a smile and pretend things are fine, and the horrible, which in my case, was short lived. Thanks to our Awesome God!
Thanks again for your kind and caring review & words!
