Hi Terry, thank you for this excellent post-script. Your three subjects for interview are all so different and I think you have indeed done an excellent job bringing out the best of each, highlighting their gifts and qualities, and at the same time assisting us lesser writers. Congratulations on an excellent series.
Wendy

First of all, you did a great job of interviewing and writing this! You actually picked two of my favorites; RG Star and Jay Squires, as well as the author of this story, Terry. ð???Yet it's nothing against your female author, but I'm just real familiar with her yet. But I loved the idea, theme and subjects once again, great job Terry!

Thank you, I think you would enjoy Lyenochka's work, she is highly rated and popular. Take a look at her portfolio and read "Mary Beth's Gifts", it is excellent writing and very fun. Terry.

Ohhh, Terry, this is a joy to read. I hope it gets the recognition that it, and you, deserve. I haven't read any of the readers' comments yet, but I'm sure they would be in agreement. I hope you have some takers on your challenge for them to interview other writers on FanStory. We have some good ones here.

Anyway, thanks for creating this forum, then taking it to the next level by offering this.

Jay you are welcome. By the way, I been thinking about Fanny. I am thinking you might consider writing her "act" somehow some way into the script. I know a contemporary of hers is Will Rogers, but I was thinking a later day comparison might by Mort Sahl.

I would like to hear her act, but I am just one fan. Terry.
reply by Jay Squires on 09-Apr-2022
Interesting that you should mention her act. I spent two agonizing weeks on just such a scene which I had planned on sandwiching between the one I posted last Saturday and the next porch encounter with the Reporter. There were some good moments in it, some comedic flashes, but it was abstracted too much from the plot line, with the only connection being the Reporter sitting in a table in the front row and next to the empty table with a whiskey jigger and glass of water on it ... the one Juniper always sat at before she was carted off to prison. It's a pity. I feel a better writer might have brought it all together and tied it in seamlessly, but I gave it a shot. Two weeks of frustration was enough for me. I AM thrilled though that your imagination was sparked to suggest the added dimension of her routine.

I do see how it could be hard, plus you would have to make right for the time frame.

Thank you so much, Terry! You have been a gracious host and your project was really helpful and informative! I think all of us learned a bit more about the writing process from each of these interviews. Thanks again for kindly choosing me when you could have chosen so many other more gifted writers!

In my most humble opinion, you did a masterful job. Perhaps you should reconsider the direction of your calling. Sometimes it is not what we think our direction should be, sometimes it is the willingness to follow the direction in which we are being led. No matter, I thoroughly enjoyed the three interviews. I also learned a bit more about each of the authors that has helped me to continue to learn from their examples.

Thanks for summarizing your interview results, Terry. Unfortunately, I didn't get to reviewing all of RG's responses, but I did find all of the interviews interesting and useful. You made a good choice of writers. Well done.

Well, you wrapped it up nicely with a big bow on top -- the promise of a book selection. Excellent job and I must say that your postscript certainly ranks squarely up there with the interviews themselves. In every other situation, I've said the stars were shared between content and questions; in this last piece, they belong total to the writer. Good job. ann

You did a great job summarizing your intent and the content of the three interviews. Your analysis has good flow, great organization, and still more interesting points for readers. I believe this was a great idea to add your thoughts now that the interviews are over and you've posted them.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan
