Hahaha! Well, I often wished that mother's curse on my kids. They're all our favorites but we know they would understand our point of view much better if they were in our shoes! Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you. Yeah, my mother said all those things to me at one point or another. Hugs.

This was a completely cute story. I reminded me of that show, Leave It To Beaver. Great dialogue between brother and sister minus the fighting. Excellent work. Good luck the contest :)

Thank you. I had seven brothers and four sisters so this kind of conversation took place often. Hugs.

Ah yes, the "mom likes me better" conversation. I remember it. Now that we're all grown up, I'm pretty sure I know who the favorite is, though she swears she doesn't have favorites. LOL. Your story was cute. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you. Yep, actually Mom's favorite was my little sister because she was the baby. Hugs.

That sounds like something a mother would say, and the reaction from the child. The poor child had everything turned around. This was cute. I could just hear my mother-in-law say something like this to my husband about our kids growing up and being like him. One day she did say, when your kids are small, they step on your toes, and when they grew up, they stepped on your heart. God forbid, my husband had a step-brother who actually robbed her of money. This was a sad situation.

Thank you. Sad things happen sometimes. I had a nephew who robbed my older sister's house while she was at work. Hugs.

Ha!ha! I love your humourous piece. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. You have taken a very common situation and turned it into something special. Very creative.

This story is humorous with realistic conversation between sister and brother. Also, you chose the perfect picture. Many children actually feel the ways you've expressed. I was the oldest of three girls, and thought my mother liked me least because she always made me look out for my sisters. Of course I was wrong. Your dialogue is well written and creative. Best wishes in the contest.

Oh, that was so good! I loved the way Ruth turned everything her mother had told into it meaning she likes her daughter best! You did an amazing job with this dialogie only contest entry, it was clever, funny, and educational!! LOL! Well done and good luck. Sandra

Hello :)
I really enjoyed reading your post.
It is well written and engaging.
I love the end part - I can totally see that logic, why you would think your mum liked you best because of that remark! I've got to say, I hope my youngest daughter has kids just liker herself!! Love her to pieces, but she is one tough cookie!!
Best wishes for the contest, Debra :)

LOL, an excellent entry for this contest, good luck. I never had a sister, and my little brother was four years younger, that was a pretty good gap so we didn't have this type of conversation, but sure sounds and feels right. Good work. Terry.
