This is so amusing and so well written without a wasted word. It is also a great dialogue only. This should be published in a parenting magazine. There is some great competition in this dialogue only contest. Best of luck.

An informative story. Figures of speech don't always convey meaning well.
The dialogue is believable. This cameo reflects real life accurately. The flow is good. The imagery is clear. The language fits the child discussion format. The ending sounds all too familiar.

I think some of the best humor is when a skillful writer incorporates things kids say when they don't know they're being funny.

I write for the fun of it, too, but it's nice to have extra points to raise your writing up a few notches. Mine never get very high.
