Haha. This reads like a prose poem but it's Ok. It just has to be less or equal 75 words. I'm sure it is. I know I need to write it down as soon as I have a story idea. It's easily forgotten. You sent yourself an email?

Dead right! I have woken up many times with a great story idea - a dream residue perhaps - and then forgotten it before I could write it down.
I now take a pen and notepad to bed,

I wonder how many of those brilliant ideas we have in our dreams fade in the light of day never to be recaptured. One can only hope that, like geese, they have migrated and will one day return.

I have often had this happen , and did recently but of course by next morning it was gone again. Unlike you I didn't send myself an email. I think that's amazing. Now I'm wondering what that gaggle of geese were getting up to. Good luck in the contest. Cheers

Haha! So relatable! I can't say how many times I've dreamt of the perfect story but couldn't remember it the next day. I like how you turned a simple thing into a fun little story and how the last line makes me think of what's to come. Great job!
