Thank you for sharing this poem. I enjoyed reading your story. It would be very uncomfortable going outside with those bees. And the dog to hide, prove how bad they were. Thank you for sharing this post.

Thank you. Those were the meanest bees one ever encountered. Hugs.

Hi there,

Bees... can't live them, definitely can't live without them. They are a complicated species and of course it all depends, like so many things, on breeds and so on.

I'd have hated that. We have friendly docile bees in our garden. lol

All the best
GMG

Thank you. Usually dad's honey bees were nice and left us alone. Those German bees were just plain mean. Hugs

Oh my! You have a terrifying story to tell and you told it very well. I have never been afraid of bees (we had so many of them on our little acre farm when I was young) but I'm sure I would have been afraid of those Black German Bees. Normally bees only sting if they feel threatened. Killer bees are evidently different. Thanks for sharing this interesting story. Well done. MM

Thank you. Yeah, we couldn't even sneak past the hives withour bees coming out to get us. I never saw bees like that and never want to again. Hugs.

I love this story! It is told in a way to keep the reader's interest from beginning to end. I would liked a little more dialogue, but I got the message loud and clear. Good luck in the contest. ann

I don't blame you. They sound really nasty. I enjoyed reading this family memory of yours, and I'm glad you finally got rid of them. I wish you the best of luck in the contest, when and if it gets released. Ulla:)))

Thank you. Yeah, I wonder what is taking them so long to release this contest? Those bees were the essence of evil. Hugs.

A charming little tale told so very well. You have a lovely way with words. Was the word 'sworn' supposed to look like 'swarm'? It did in my head anyway!
Ordering bees through the mail? I can just see Amazon doing that!
I have no problems with bees. But wasps are another story. I was in Spain a few years ago and was being pestered by one, and swatted at it with my hand. I caught it on the return swat and knocked it straight down my throat. I had to choke and gag very hard but it finally came out. Had it stung me I may not be here to tell the tale.

Thank you for sharing your interesting bee story with me. You're lucky that thing didn't sting the inside of your mouth. Ouch! Hugs.

Make your own honey does seem like an adventure. But I can see that as a simpler to purchase product. That was a wonderful recollection. Thank you for sharing. Good luck in the contest :)

Thank you. We had to have bees pollinate the fruit trees. Each orchard had several hives of bees. Hugs.

I love this story. I did not know Killer bee whether American or German produce honey. Did the honey taste differently? Are you and yours still in agri-businesses?

Thank you. I am calling them killer bees but they were a breed of honey bee that my dad bought. They were extremely aggressive and made our lives miserable. Dad did get rid of them. I don't know when they had time to make honey when all they did was chase us around. Hugs

That story is very well believeable. Those bees were more than just Bees from Germany. Those Bees came from Africa and cross-breeded with Western Bees. I remembered hearing about it years ago. African Bees are larger and more aggressive. Unlike other Bees, their sting is can be deadly to humans and animals. They don't belong in any part of the world but Africa. I so wish mankind would stop tampering with nature and let things stay where they originated. Whew! But with that said, great writing.

Thank you. These were a breed of honey bees from Germany. My dad ordered them because they were advertised as better honey producers. If they would have produced honey instead of harassing everyone, they sould have been fine. Lol Hugs
