You made me smile here as seeing the world from two perspectives here with an understanding of both views, a fun write and a magical picture too, love Dolly x

Very well written, and you have completed the requirements very well and in an engaging style with plenty of humour. Your rhymes are great - very smooth and unforced. best wishes for this entry!

Good entry for the two sides to every story contest, mystery writer. You have created two very distinct narratives and points of view that expand upon well-defined character types. There is certainly some humor here. It has mild similarities to the Green Acres theme song from the 60s. I like the use of two different colors to further convey the difference in the couple. Thank you for sharing. Best of luck in the contest.

Tsk-tsk. Bad girl... if your new lover is another person and not an outside interest or activity, like say, sewing. As for the old man as long as it is only in his head, as the Beatles sang, "Let It Be."

Some men and women are different as day and night. The picture is darling. And it does not feel good when the man wants to go to a certain place and expects the wife should go. Thank you for the post. Have a great day.

These two are way different, too different to spend time in the same house. You did a good job finding all those differences. Best of luck in the Two Sides to every story contest.

I truly enjoyed this both sides. There is some truth that after years together there are changes in interests.
One very tiny suggestion. It is very picky but how about Ben and Lou? Rather than so formal Benjamin.
Good luck in the contest.
Best wishes

Thanks for your comments. I revisited that line. Yes, Benjamin does sound too formal. I needed 11 syllables so I gave him another drinking buddy; now it reads 'Dave and Ben and Lou'.
