Thank you for your review. I traveled in real life to England. The earlychapters are based on that. But because it was remarkable energy from the Mary & Michael ley lines I decided to deviate in my story by vortexing into the 15th century, Thus began the hard work. You are welcome to read the previous chapters by going to my portfolio. No need for a review, just enjoy.

You may have done what I have & moved your cursor or enter button so much it decreases the number of stars. One of my favorite writer was devastated and I was mortified. I had left her with 4 stars as did you me.

Your story continues to captivate me, though much of it is foreign to me. You tell this so well. I am amazed and entertained. Thank you for continuing to share.

This is an interesting segment of what happens as Brother Samuel. I'm not sure why she thinks her friends have become brothers also, but it is an interesting idea. Her worry about if her friends have missed her may be unnecessary if they are all sharing the transition. Or what seems like days and years in the past may be only a minute or two in present. I'm looking forward to seeing how you will deal with this part.

Thank you for you involved review. Her friends are already there, they have no idea who she is. We don't usually know someone's soul unless we have a sense we've known them in a past life. They have no idea who she is, she's from their future. If people have a hard time believing in past lives, this is more difficult to follow.

What a fantastic continuation chapter, Liz. It was good to hear that
Madeline/Brother Samuel has completed her/his penance and was about to progress. Yet the appearance of Brother Sylvester truly concerned him. Very well done and greatly enjoyed.

So thrilled with your review. There are a few who are really missing out. They can't even consider past lives. So this story is difficult for them. You are a breath of fresh air

That's probably since I majored in English, took a years worth of theology and had a great nursing career, lol. You are so very welcome, Liz.

Oh no! I wonder why Maddie/Samuel feels glued to the floor? Will she then be re-transported back into the present? But what mystery has been uncovered about that place. Surely, there must be a reason for this time journey.

I really liked : ". I know it is their soul I recognize, but they have no idea who I am. " Isn't it best when we see each other's souls?

The word (worked) should be (work) I see you really did spend a lot of time in a convent. I bet you could write some great memoirs about that. This story is interesting and creative. I enjoyed reading it.

Thank you for your interested review. My next project is to continue my autobiography, so there will be some funny vignettes in it.

This is another interesting chapter, Liz. There are some good questions raised by Madeline/Samuel, but it looks like most will never be answered. I would have thought Prior Richard would be easier on her/him not that penance is done. Well written, except that you've changed tenses a few times. You might want to take another look at that.

One little typo: "The land is marshy but there's been work(ed) done..."

Thank you for your suppoetive review. They loved giving penances & having us kneel, remember humiliation was the name of the game. One of my 'nun-mates, actually my jatest cat;s foster mom, has no memory of what went on. Writing this has been therapeutic for me.

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

The objective correlative of your work reminisces the prevalence of apportioned sessions of penance and prayers intended to create constant discomfort in the life of a monk.

The work highlights Brother Samuel's encounter with Prior Richard and how the latter's inclination to cultivate and perpetuate constant discomfort portrays the making of a monk as a dialectical negation of comfort and wellbeing.

The work earns its texture through its effective use of anecdotes reminiscent of self crucifixion.

Excellent work. Bravo.

Thank you for your supportive review. You said it well, "inclination to cultivate and perpetuate constant discomfort portrays the making of a monk as a dialectical negation of comfort and wellbeing." The shiny six out shine the four I just got. Perfect timing.

I feel this chapter is slightly under par, and needs a little work to reach 5 star standard.
I'm beginning to put together these Monks' names and who they became as my friends. Many of them are here. > not clear. Needs to be re-worked.
I am a little confused as it reads that Patrick disappears and Robert reappears... maybe another tweak is needed
More importantly, there seems to be a lot of stalling, repetitions and redundancies compared to the last chapters from the 15th century I read. Kate xx

Thank you for your review. I feel badly you aren't able to comprehend my purpose. Because you don't believe in past lives, there is a clear void as far as you understanding it.
