Congratulations for a successful writing of a Villanelle poem.

The objective correlative of your work reminisces the protagonist's walk with nature that tides him through with winds, flapping waters with seagulls to match.

The work highlights him or her at walk with the wind and other natural accoutrements culminating in a sad looking man who he prays for.

The work earns its texture through its effective use of rhymes, personifications, metaphors and alliterations.

Excellent work. Bravo.

The next time I write a villanelle, I think I'll ditch the meter--to create an appealing, smoothly flowing poem like THIS one. This lovely piece not only describes a peace-inspiring setting in nature, but also includes compassion and prayer!

JANICE, THANK YOU, for reading and commenting on this poem. Thank you for the six-stars. I am grateful, even though it is not presented in conventional meter. I find that creating a villanelle with nineteen line can break with convention if the writer is guided by the words.

Thank you for taking me along on your lovely seaside stroll. The breezes seemed to smell of the ocean and I wondered about Mr Sobersides and what caused him to be so thoughtful.
I enjoyed this poem very much.

This is well-written, following the rhyme scheme well. Easy to read as we walk with you along the beach. I like your last two stanzas. As we go about our day, we should always be looking for someone in need of comfort or help. Though we may not be able to meet their need, we can whisper a prayer and know that the Lord hears.

Anne, the beauty of faith is we all carry prayers within us to push forth into the world for His work to be done, thank you.

I enjoyed reading this poem and taking a walk in the sand. A very peaceful way to wake up on a Monday morning. This is well written and presented. I'm not familiar with this style of poetry, but I responded in a positive way.

This is a lovely and well-written poem. The flow of words is beautiful which seems to make a poem easier to follow and comprehend. I look forward to reading more of your poetry. Nice work.
