You're right and might add a dose of jealousy is lousy as it says itself in its spelling. Hey. That could be a penning on its own. I'll make that an entry for W.I.P. and perhaps one day it'll be in print.

I thought I heard echoes of Emerson in these inspirational, well-worded lines; the notes confirmed this. Your poem on self-reliance is powerful.
Of course, we can learn valuable lessons by observing others and even by
TEMPORARILY imitating worthy mentors, but then we must develop self
on self's own power and determination.

You did a great job with this etheree. Respect to you for keeping to the syllable count and still managing to express your thoughts. I don't think I'd like to self-focus all my energy though, as that would make me self-centred. Surely self-care can be achieved whilst also looking out for the needs of others?

People need to be themselves. Do not try to hide behind a mask. The truth eventually comes out. If someone does not like you for who you are, you do not need them. A true friend will stand beside you through the good, the bad and the ugly situations. Thank you for this awareness.
