Schultz was brought to my mind and I saw the title of your post. I also love that show the whole thing is quite interesting and I guess it was real I mean they were really making tunnels under the ground. Good to have Schultz for a role model wasn't it? "While answering his questions, then I knew I had to stall
And I said,"I know nothing, I know nothing at all!"
it could have gone I bet sideways.

Hi Liz, I actually really never watched the show because I just loved to watch my dad laugh as I sat on his lap. He would laugh until he cried, so it was a fun poem to write about the phrase he used. But as far as a lot of detail about the show, I know nothing. Hahahaha! Thanks for the fun review my sweet friend. You are the best. Love ya, Debi

And you also just made me laugh

I'm so excited I was able to get my money back and now I can use some of my money to get the rest of my books published and I will have all of my books published. Except of course my autobiography but that's going to be a while coming if I even ever get it published. But the bank finally heard me andReturned my money.
-
Awesome, Liz. Did you write the story yet? I am not able to review much, but I will save my screen time for that story for sure. Congratulations, my dear friend.

I will soon be notifying everyone. I'm on my last chapter of my autobiography then I'll be free to write anything.
-
Oh good. I can't wait to read it.

This brings back many fun memories. My husband and I both watched that show but the grandsons were too young to remember it. However, my husband has a great voice and can imitate many voices. He would do that one " I know nothing " and the grandsons would always stop whatever they were doing and laugh hysterically. Thank you for a reminder of a wonderful memory.
Blessings

Hi there, Janet,
How funny that your husband could do that voice. I bet that was cute.
I thank you very much. This was a fun one to write and bring back two years later. I appreciate all your kind words for this oldie.
Thanks again, my dear friend. Love, Debi

I loved Hogan's Heroes as well, that was and is one of my favorite sayings. Ironically my great grandmother's last name was Shultz, the character in the show. Thanks for writing a lovely poem and sharing your memories.

I enjoyed reading this. I don't know the show, but I love how you weaved it through the poem, the answer to everything in the last line of each verse.
Well done.

Hi Gaye, actually this was a show on tv back in the 1960s when I was a kid. I loved watching with him as he laughed watching the show. I was just a child. My dad never saw this story in a poem. He was dead by the time I wrote it. Hopefully he enjoyed it from Heaven. Thanks for the sweet comments and the six stars, dear friend. Love, Debi

Haha! What a great theme for this prompt of Repetition! I don't know the show but it sounds hilarious and it's always great when you anticipate the line. The visual is superb and your ability to imagine a story and compose it in verse, a joy to read. I can understand how it was such an addictive treat to hear your father laugh. Well done, Debi, and good luck! Debbie

Hi Debbie, actually this is a revived post from two years ago. For some reason I thought this weekend was Father's Day so to honor my late dad, I reposted it. So LOL, it is an oldie, but I thank you for the lovely comments. They still mean as much to me. (Big Smile and Hugs) love, Debi
Comment from Thesis
LOL, but of course she would tell Daddy she knew nothing. Your poem brings up so many situations where the main line can be used. It's funny how we remember the small things.

You, my friend are almost exactly ten years younger than me. I am 69 and my birthday is in October too.

October 1st, and I love Halloween, so I feel like I own the whole month, lol.

Hogan's Heros was a tv favorite of mine growing up also a great show that really hid the hororendous terror of POWs in the Vietnam war era. I Thank God for that and you for sharing

This one gives a great laugh. I also occasionally watched this show and have used that line myself. Your poem tells a wonderful story and also teaches you to watch what you say around children lest you hear your words coming back to haunt you. Great job, Debi!
