You took the twelve-word challenge and created a lovely rhyming couplet! I really liked "wisps of twilight dreams" and the lavender streams is clearly seen in that picture! Congratulations on the second place win!

Thank you so very much, Helen. I am spending days out in the garden planting and reorganizing my flowers ... mainly hostas... I have great plans for my deck and have finished planting my window boxes this week. It is always something. Thanks again, my friend.

Melissa,
What a beautiful piece of aretwork to illustrate your words. It alsmost seems to be ekphrastic. It is a good use of twelve words to show how nature's beauty inspires writing.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writng and stay healthy

Streams of lavender could be about a stream of lavender flowers. They could grow in sprays...the blossoms can flow like the waves and dance as people are daydreaming about their beauty.

An added bonus for me in appreciating your delicately descriptive words is that I recognise that tree's location. I have photographed it several times myself as it is only a few hours away from where I live in southern new Zealand. It is on the shores of Lake Wanaka. It is a willow tree.

Oh wow, I am so glad you shared that with me Lisa. Thanks for telling me about it... you live in an amazing country between these types of scenes and that crazy kea bird you wrote about. Thanks.
