LOL - this was so funny. I must admit I'm a worrier, but you came up with more things than I could even think of. The ending was a hoot, but very realistic in this age of shortages. You're too funny, and you're an absolute master of the monorhyme, because you have such a wonderful vocabulary. The writing prompt in my poetry class today was "things that keep you up at night," and this definitely reminded me of that. Of course, my thoughts were more mundane (bills, shopping lists, tomorrow's dinner), and only had an abcb defe rhyme scheme. Your poem made me smile, your vocabulary made me envious, and your picture made me laugh.

I hope they were joking. Otherwise, what is their problem??!! How is this showing off? As the writer, you get to choose the style of your poem, as long as it doesn't violate any contest parameters. And what does "a writer's crime" even mean?? The site offers several monorhyme contests. Should the creators or those contests be jailed?

My current favourite is an artisan cheese - Puhoi Valley Kawau Blue. Nice and stinky. I see you prefer bland processed cheese. I've never seen either of your cheeses in New Zealand, but maybe they go under different brand names here.
