Your poem tells the story of how love can go bad if a man and a woman do not give each other space. I am watching a movie where the man is so possessive that he has the woman followed. Frightening!

Excellent entry for the These Words writing prompt contest. You did add graphic - joy - death - spice as asked in the rules. The theme was interesting and was easy to understand. I would recommend it.
Many women are abused by their husband's and lovers. It's really sad.

What a poetic tale of revenge this poem is! Domestic violence is such a painful subject, so a revenge fantasy helps the reader engage. The rhyme and flow are as perfectly executed as the murder. Great use of the prompt! Thanks!

While I would not normally condone murder, some bastards deserve to die. How kind of Maria to give her abuser a nice meal for a send-off. Your story in a poem has a light touch with a heavy message.

I love the how edgy this poem is. I guess you can say that he got his "just desserts". I also liked how you built up the story to a tantalizing end! Exceptionally well written

In this narrative verse the predator gets his just deserts and Maria, the perpetrator of the 'murder' gets clean away and I for one gave three hearty cheers.
I liked the way you chose that old favourite, iambic pentameters for your story and the subtle way you introduced a trochaic substitution at he key point here:
