It's a made-up name, isn't it?
At least she did it on purpose. I have a Croatian friend who does that and still looks beautiful.
I look terrible even without trying :)
I like this even better than the potato one. It's super-fun and the rhyme is perfect.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Maria :) Thanks for the generous rating and review! I appreciate it :)
Yep, definitely a made up name - I thought it suited her!
Glad you enjoyed the read :) Love, Debra xx

A fun Limerick and yes we all have a joker in the family and my husband was witty and funny all the time. A well worded, rhymes and metered Limerick, skilfully put together with much humour, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Thanks so much, Dolly :) My brother ALWAYS pulled out his tongue or refused to smile when we had pictures taken - Our family album is so funny to look back on!
Best wishes as always, Debra x

I've known people like that. In fact one of my brothers-in-law, who was the best man, had to get at least one of those faces into the wedding pictures. Great limerick, Debra.

Hi Judy :) Thanks for your feedback. I bet the bride and groom are tickled with that picture in their album!

Lol. I have a nephew who does exactly that in every family photograph. I think there's only one picture of him as a kid where he doesn't make a goofy face. I think it's because he felt self-conscious. Fun limerick!

This follows the best traditions of the humorous limerick. Although a poetic purist might argue the first line as forced, that too is a feature of many limericks, where a place name is often inserted purely to force the rhyme.

This is a great limerick! You're right that every family has one. I loved your character's name, too, and the picture complemented the poem perfectly. Thanks for sharing yet again.

This is lots of fun and a great example of a limerick. If I have one note, it's the the last line doesn't scan right. It's a challenge to meet the syllable count that sounds right, but perhaps 'and wrecked each and all photographs' would feel better? I know it makes the rhyme less solid, but it feel more natural.
Either way it's great though :-)

Hah! Thank goodness some of you wrote limericks for national limerick day yesterday! My spirit was willing, but alas, time slipped away! You are SO right! There is (at least) one in every family! Love her name, by the way...that's a laugh in and of itself!
