I would like to say it is strange how families turn against each other in order to protect or better themselves, but it's not very uncommon at all. As they say, we are closer to our enemies than we think. I am glad that Miles is deciding to step forward and live his life and not for the blessings of others. Great job!

No, it's not uncommon, unfortunately. I really envy people who have loving families. I have three siblings, two brothers and a sister. My sister hasn't spoken to me for seven years, and a brother hasn't for six. My youngest brother is the only one who does, and he's such a love. He in an invalid, and has had the worst life, yet he's the nicest of us all. I love him to bits and it's nice that he loves me, too. Families are quite over-rated, Carol. Fortunately, our friends make up for them. You are more my family than my real family! I'll tell my story one day.

Just say you will be my friend and that will always be more than enough. In the last few months my life has been on a tight rope with family and so many changes have happened... then my health stepped up and wants it's turn at bat too. HI Sandra, Ok...it's sounds like it's getting time for Margot's big exit...unless she's going on the honeymoon...

Miles just talked to his best man...and picked out her dress...and what's that all about?...I can't imagine if
my husband had picked out my wedding dress...I would have been wearing a Teddy...and net stockings...

now if Gwen bumps off Richard...that will solve a big problem...and Bessie and Margot take care off Mr.Crankypants...the wedding is on...but the paper work
has got to come forward...the lies told...

and then were back to...who will be moving out of Meg's body...very interesting...because face it...Meg is the one he loves...but is Margot in love with him???...hmmmm...

Oh, Linda, Miles didn't pick out Meg's WEDDING dress, it was the ball gown for her surprise party! Remember, the lovely emerald green gown! Lol. There is some fun and games coming up, and old cranky and daddy are going to be put through the mill!!
Now look what you made me do, I gave you a hint! LOL!! I just know you will LOVE the ending. Margot murders Meg and keeps Miles for herself! What do you think? Good one? LOL

what is wrong with me???...how could I have missed that???...I read your stories like
I'm actually in them...been a long week...
not because of the baby...but just trying to get things in order...Donatta will watch the baby after school is out...not sure...3-5 of June...she's not sure how many snow days they have to make up...and then on the 9th of June...my neighbor who used to live next door is coming up with her son from Texas...she's staying about a week...but her son will be here longer...he wants to stay and see his girlfriend for awhile...and that's fine with me...and then she wants me to come and see them in Texas...I keep saying I will...but things just pop up...and Donatta's other daughter lives there as well...so I'll go see her...

and that hint you sparingly gave me...not to worry...I'll keep the entire conversation to myself...hmmmmmm....

as for as Margot murdering Meg...and keeping Miles to herself...what do I think?...I think your getting to close to the sacramental wine...sounds like it was a good one...LOL...

well...I just got home from babysitting...and I took the garbage out...it's 10:30 pm and I'm going to get a shower...thank God tomorrow is Friday...last day of the week

we're going to watch 2 of The Chosen series at our church...they do it a couple times a year...

Hello Sandra,
Another excellent chapter that does not disappoint. Miles is just too good a guy - handsome, kind, loyal and he works for reforms to improve the lives of the poor and vulnerable. I'll bet he's also he's the father of Florence Nightingale. :)

My only problem with the chapter is the name of the butler. I think you've mixed thing up, surely Robert is the name of Miles friend, Robert Fellows, and the butler is Joshua. Or is Joshua Fellows some long ago ancestor of Julian Fellows?

Now it appear there is to be a "special dinner" prepared for Richard. Sounds like it might lead to a case for Miss Marple, The Case of The Secret Ingredient.

I had to go back and double check I'd not made a mistake. No, I haven't! I remember looking up Robert Fellowes, (with an e)he is a real life Baron, private secretary to the Queen.

Joshua Fellows is Miles' friend.
Robert is Joshua Fellows' butler, (I was told on good authority that Robert would make the perfect butler!!)
Jenkins is Gwendolyns butler and ally.
I also looked up Julian Fellowes, he is also a real life Baron. I didn't realise there were so many. There are 30+ Robert Fellows, not including those in Downton Abbey. I think I might have to change a few names when I edit!!

Goodness, Robyn, you say I must have stayed up late!! The amount of writing you do, on top of looking after your family, and all the reviewing, it's a wonder you manage to sleep at all! I couldn't have written the amount of poems you did in one month.

I have Graham, he's head chef here for the two of us, and helps me with whatever I need. Not having children at home anymore, (for the last 25+ years) I don't have to go around picking up after them. Their wives have trained them better than I did! Lol.

Miles is taking steps to marry his Meg. I thought the tension and the excitement level was a bit more low key in chapter. Some of the dialogue also seemed to repeat a bit, so I think it could use an edit. You don't have to explain twice that Miles wants to marry Meg. Everyone is in nicely dileneated characters, the personalities are still sharp and contrasting. We'll have to see how it all turns out. estory
