A lovely tanka-like poem which shows how love comes from Heaven, grows in the heart, and is released. This goes beyond romantic love but love for all and that kind of love is contagious!

Like your poem. There is also a perfume that is called heaven scent. Has a lasting fragrance that does not cause headaches. Your poem is mentioning that when we pass on, we gain our wings and soar into heaven.

I love that you used words related to birds( fledgling , nestled, grew wings, soared) to describe your children, them growing up and leaving.
I don't have children but I'm sure it's hard to see them depart.

Thank you for your support! I don't have children either but just like you we can imagine what it must be like when they leave home to fly solo.

A lovely piece. I particularly liked the title. It made me feel buoyant and it made me want to read your poem. I also liked the phrase, "Fledgling love". I pictured something in its beginnings and growing.

Your use of 15 words to describe such a profound love is excellent.
I've had that wonderful feeling in life from a soulmate or from a dog. (I'm not being trite when I compare the two--the dogs proved to be more faithful). Lol.! You're an animal lover, I know you understand.

There are fourteen words here if you accept that hyphenation creates a single word from a pair. Fifteen words if you don't. Either way this qualifies.

Thanks for reviewing - I count hyphenated words as one but word count is fine either way as the contest is for '15 words or less'.
(Actually it should be 'fewer'; 'less' is more common through repeated incorrect usage)
