Congratulations on your milestone, and your poem is absolutely lovely. It so accurately describes why so many of us joined and remain on the site. Your tribute in photos to your fellow writers is beautifully done.

Ho Michelle! Thank you for the kind review and lovely comments. You are definitely one that I was talking about when I said, you know who you are! You are so very right, and I think that is what makes this a home away from home when we come her to write review and hang out for a while. I feel the bond with even those that I have never met before, as it's amazing what a kind word can do to a person's heart. Thank you so much my friend!

You're so very welcome, and so very kind. I feel as close to some of the friends I've made on this sight, without ever actually meeting, as I do to some people I've known (in person) much of my life.

Hi Debi, your poem is very sweet, just like you It's a poem of love and gratitude. How did you manage to get all the photos together? Was it a cut and paste? Your poem reads and flows well and has
good rhyming within. Of special note:

Right away I learned a big lesson
that the rules of writing had changed
(D, the rules have changed at least in the FSworld.)

My only suggestion is to include a photo of yourself ... next time around.

Thank you for sharing and thank you for including me in the poem.

For some reason Maggie, some of my thank you's are not saving, because some of you keep popping back up here to be thanked again. I have written some three times, yet I never mind writing to you. But now I am thankful that I wrote yours with messaging, because I don't know what the error is all about. Anyway, still working on thanking people so lotsa love!

You show great skill in writing poems, so I think the most difficult and time-consuming part of this posting for you would have been trying to get those photos to cooperate in a group!
Your gratitude is evident and makes for a lovely poem of awareness and friendship.

As always LisaMay, you are so sweet and I thank you for lovely review!
You have always been one of the most special people here who have always made it so easy to love being a part of FS. It was so important to me to make my thank you and others who have been so kind, but helpful. And to do it for my milestone. Yes it was quite the project of taking the photos, much editing,
Screenshots, photoshop and finally printing and piecing them together. However I lost 9 photos when my printer jammed and couldn't get them out.
I was disappointed to see that you didn't have a photo, but I did look just in case. So thanks again my friend! Debi

Hell, idk if the piece itself is deserving of six stars but the effort in piecing together pictures of noted friends is fantastic especially since I ended up #1 on line four. (others will see me as 13th. That's ok; they are wrong. Right?)

Wow! Six stars? You deserved to be in the picture all by yourself!
Seriously, my laughter just ended up with a few tears, as I am very touched, So thank you and this for sure you can take that to heart! I usually only laugh when I hear from you, but I appreciate it more than I can say!

And you are most certainly right Tom! Actually you were supposed to be on the top, lol, but I worried if something happened while they were downloading it, then they might cut off part of your head, at that would have been a tragedy. ......

Yes, there was quite a bit of brainstorming and many screenshots taken, and still lost some people. Even with much editing, the end result had to be only one picture. But I finally had to print and after about 8 hours, I was happy to one and a half to get one large photo. I was happy at that point to get what I got, as I don't know how to put two photos on here. However, well worth it when I think about the blessing that came from it.

..Someday I am going to write a poem about the bull that you and I have thrown back and forth and maybe we will have enough to fertilize all our fields that surround our property. I just put it on my list of ideas for some good writing and I bet then you'll give it a six star for the poem as well as the picture that I include. Hehehe!!
reply by Tom Horonzy on 23-May-2022
It's possible the head would be removed as I am 6'6, and if you have too little b.s. in your pasture, we have 70+ herefords poopin' on our 67 acres. All are pets. We have never eaten one.
reply by the author on 24-May-2022
    Speaking of the bull.....,
In the native land of my grandparents and ancestors, it's called boushka.
Which I believe to be your height, but just in case I'm glad I didn't put you on the top row.
    Wow, 70 + & 67 acres. That is a lot of boushka.
I bet you named some too!
We have 80 acres of crop land that we now just rent.out. We have a stipulation that our renters must provide their own bs.

But it's beautiful to be in God's country. Where do you live Tom?
reply by Tom Horonzy on 24-May-2022
I, too, am of Polish descent. Krakow was home to my paternal grandma. We live in Western NC near Tryon where the TIEC is located. Twenty years ago, it was soybean country now overrun with horse flesh.
reply by the author on 24-May-2022
Wow Tom that is so cool. I absolutely love that country, and have friends and relatives in the Carolinas.
Yet I have only been there a couple times, it's beautiful!
Lol, I may have spoke in Polish, but thinking in was the only Finnish word I knew, and never hearing my grandma use that tone of voice before with a relative who was visiting, I had to ask my mother what it meant.
(even though they often talked the language when they didn't want us kids to hear) My mother said it meant bullshit, and I am not much of a cussing person it doesn't feel so bad when I use it to my husband in a different language, sometimes when he needs to be put back in his place. Lol!

But I need to say that in case in the future you don't hear from me since my health is failing, please know how much your friendship has meant to me. But for now i will continue to write as long
as long as I can, and being the emotional fool that I am I just want to say that as a friend, I love you Tom and appreciate all the fun and laughter you have put in my life. God Bless!

Aah. Sorry you are on the outs physically. I finished what I think my 14 operation Jan 11th. The third time for rotor cuff. I believe with are plagued as an absolution of sins committed in our youth. Better here than a waiting room in paradise or purgatory. Anyway, in case on of leaves before the other, I am 6'6 and if renewed to perfect health will weigh 230. Wavy brown hair, blue eyes and tanned year-round. Till then.
reply by the author on 24-May-2022
I'm sorry I didn't believe you. I don't know why I would ever doubt you. (Wink)
Rotator cuff is rough. Sorry, I have the urge to write a poem there. But had one a couple years ago, and on my way to therapy, put my 95 Buick Park Avenue in park, and I heard crunch, only much louder. No therapy that day, but emergency surgery to try to piece it together again, with a warning from OS, That baby still hurts every time I move that shoulder. So I take it that the fact that you had 3, doesn't mean that you have 3 arms or anything like that. (sorry, it just comes so natural when I am talking to you) So you had one tear out too? Painful my friend, I understand that.
    How are you doing now?
I truly hope you are doing better, as I really do care.
I like your explanation of how your looks are, and I have always loved the picture, but most importantly my friend, I know exactly what your heart looks like.

I wouldn?t change a thing as to the cause. Played organized b-ball for14 years, ten in the Navy4 college. I also was a participant in tennis.big serve, little volley, golfing since 1957,4 yr letterman in college and the was apitcheruntil we opened a season facing the at?l runner up and retired afterwards hung my outfield throwing their gloves in the air hoping to stop them from going yard. At29 I simply had been away too long from the mound. Save for the heart surgery I assume all the others were sport related.

Wow! What an Amazing sport life you have led!
Let me rephrase my last comment. I know what a kind and funny guy you can be and I am so thankful to have had so many good laughs with you!

I loved the words of your poem, as well as the pictures, and I was thrilled to find my own among them! I agree about the Christian community and the cherished friends. I think I had been a member in 2011, but I stated "becoming" a real member in January 2022. This just made my day!

It wasn't hard for me to pick my favorite people to include for pictures, as I have always felt a deep respect for your caring comments and feedback. The hard part was putting together to get them on one, to make the right size for FS to download. It took me about 8 hrs of much editing and then printing and piecing. Unfortunately I lost about 9 photos when my printer jammed doing the last half page. That broke my heart to lose any. Anyway my heart was so into it and I meant every word of my poem, and have been planning and so excited to do it the same time as my milestone post. This whole thing was special to me, as you and so many wonderful people are as well! Thanks Verna for the lovely review and words.

What a great tribute for a milestone post. The work of Tom, the committees and the different reviewers is well-deserving of such acclaim. I wish you just as much enjoyment as you move with more confidence towards your third milestone post.

This is a pleasant and surprising poem to all of us who enjoy you too. Of course, the rhyme scheme is on point and the lines are well-thought out. None of the rhyming feel forced. How do you know a Fanstory employee by name? Where is that located. I appreciate being included among your friends here. Thanks!

You are so very Sweet Sandra, and I am thankful to count you as one of my blessings here on FS. I was so frustrated with the pictures though as it took me about 8 hours to do something I wasn't real pleased with, but I don't think anyone seems to mind. ... Lol, you must be doing well here without contacting them yet. My first week I had clicked on that contact us button I bet ten times, asking questions about how the promotions worked and how it went with reviewing as it was so different from the Christian Women's Site that I wrote for. Then when you contact them, Tom always answers the message, and he is very on the ball with it. Yet I have no idea who the committee is or what Tom looks like. We only hear from them when your writing is recognized, chosen to be for awards or if you win contests.
I don't know if you remember that show Charlie's Angels, but it kinda reminds me of that where you never see Charlie; he just comes in over an intercom.

Sorry for being so long winded and I thank you for such a lovely review. You are so very kind. Blessings! Debi

Thank you for sharing this with us. FanStory is one big family. I have learned so much from this site. When I read my early writes, I'm shocked at how I've improved. I enjoyed reading this.

Barb, I have to apologize to you for your picture not being on that page. You were one of the first people I looked for, as you have always been so lovely with your reviews and helpful when I needed it. So I took a picture of yours, along with the other special people, but in tryin to get them on one picture so that FS would accept the download, I had to do screenshots, then tried photo shop, but they blurred them so much, so I had to print them all out and put together. I was down to the last six people, and my printer jammed and I ended up with a mess and the last 6 didn't get printed. I felt so bad, so I added that part about ones with no pictures on there, said a thanks and said you know who you are. I had you in mind my dear friend and I thank you for always being one of those blessings that God has blessed me with since combing on FS. Thank you for that and your lovely review.
And lol, I know what you mean about earlier writes as I have been writing for close to 60 years since I started at 8. But I laugh when I tell this story that my college professor would have had a heart attack if he saw my newer writings, like I said in my poem, everything has changed. It's still acceptable to use the old ways, lol, but I would have flunked out of college if I wouldn't have used caps and punctuation.
reply by barbara.wilkey on 23-May-2022
I'm not worried about it, so please don't be.
