My goodness me! It seems that we have a closet poet here! A nicely formed sonnet, with a subtle shift in the third stanza from the horrific to the sublime, and a closing couplet of smelly socks. Bizarre enough to be in with a chance of winning the contest.

Your sonnet reminded me of the story: "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" as there was a new land behind the closet full of animals in winter. A fun post and I have a suggestion for this line for the sake of metre:
"but Joe and Johnson both require some air."

Well, it is certainly an unexpected theme for a sonnet! Silly, but vaguely threatening and disturbing as well. Great imagination, and fun poem to read!
