This is a very well written and very cute poem you have penned about your job. I can only imagine trying to figure a way to keep the dogs away as you delivered the mail. You used great descriptive words and very cute imagery from the art work you chose. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

Very cute poem about a job many of us take for granted. Although I didn't know it was ever done by bicycle. But, there are so many jokes and tales about mailmen and dogs that yours just adds to it, only with a little color.

Many of the postal runs in Australia were done by bicycle when I was younger. I was unlucky that my circuit was in a hilly suburb with a large number of doggy residents.

lol, I had a great time reading this, and you made me chuckle with the final line. If there's one common feature of all the posties I see round our way, it's massive calfs! Great fun, reading about being chased by dogs :-)

Thanks for reviewing. Those little chihuahuas are the worst! I've put a picture in now - I was looking for one with big leg muscles but had to settle for a vicious dog.
