-Nice artwork, Terry.
-I like your introduction and premise.
-Ironically, your father was about the
same age as mine. He was born in
1920 and passed away in 1997.
-I like your father's poem and
I can see where you get some
of your creativity from.
-I like his reference to study hall
and loved the ending.
-Thanks for sharing it.

Terry. You did indeed come up with words that are both smart and
insightful. I enjoy words and had a great time rereading the poem
of your late father.I did not just laugh along with his poem.
I got a chuckle out, a laugh and a smile. What fun to have comic relief
from 1954. In these troubled times. I am one of the global many who feel
your pain. Julcia

This did indeed make me smile. I can remember being a young boy with incredible crushes female movie stars, singers and dancers, even some pinup or swimsuit models. As i aged those crushes transferred to younger women, but no less intense. My desire no less hopeless and impossible. I remember working in downtown Los Angeles and a scene for a TV show starring Pamela Anderson was taking place very near to where a group of employees were standing. I was close enough to actually touch MS Anderson. Of course, I did not attempt to touch her, but let me tell you, my entire month was made as a result of my being that close to one of my celebrity crushes.

Thank you, Terry, for sharing a poem by your talented father! That did bring a smile to my face. Loved the "laughter like a waterfall ringing in my head." And the end is so cute!

School shootings only really happen in the US, I feel for the kids there. one needs a good reason to own one in other western democracies, for some strange reason Americans equate gun ownership with freedom, freedom for whom? If I was a police officer I would be trigger happy too. None of this is your fault Terry. It's just this moment, well done, to your dad, blessings, Roy

Been there. Live that moment. I was in fifth grade and the teacher had legs more than a yard long. She wore heels that accentuated their grace. It was the first female I ever noticed and was the standard thereafter. The picture looks like Haley Berry.

It is true that once again, life is very dismal this week and there seems nothing to smile about unless you live in a parallel world like some of us obviously do. This is a very cute poem. Congratulations to your father. Kate xx

Thank you for sharing your father's poem with us. I enjoyed it. I honestly believe if we went back to those simpler times our society wouldn't be so messed up. We've forgotten the important things in life.
