I never thought of it like that, but, you're right! we are the biggest abusers of our own bodies, and we do it regularly! Goodness me! That's why I'm a physical wreck now!! Lol. I'll have to give it a bit of TLC, and hopefully it won't give up on me yet. I enjoyed your poem, it was an eye opener!! :)) Sandra xx

Loved this satirical twist on the all praising reverential ode!
I'm still in awe given the wear and tear my "old vehicle" has endured, that the old jalopy still kicks over when I turn the key!

Based on your title it sounds like this poem is about your body? It's a little confusing with the name at the end. Is that your name? Did you name your body Lloyd? Other than that bit of confusion, I really enjoyed this poem. There's something fun and whimsical about it. Our bodies really do wonderful things for us. Great job!

Just saw that you're from Flat Rock. I have a good friend who has a place there and I'm sure her family all come at times. Her name is Sally Walker Hughes, brother Butch and sister, Gracia. I don't know their kids' names, but just thought I'd ask. You might know them. It'd be fun if you did. We all used to go waterskiing in the backwaters at St Simon's Island.

Even as small as the Village of Flat Rock is, I regret that the names do not come to me as familiar. We just returned from St Simon's Island, where we stay a few times a year in route to Florida to visit one of our families. We love the Iguana restaurant!

It's been a long time since I've been to St Simon's. We used to have a house there many years ago - lots of fun. Don't remember the Iguana, but it may not have been there then.

I hope I get this correct. It sounds like you are talking about a great horse. Either a show horse or a race horse. I love horses. They are beautiful animals. In the day, they worked hard. They pulled wagons full of items and people. Many horses are overworked. Thank you for sharing.
