Ciao !
I'm not really much of a techno person. My cousin in visit to Italy in Dec 2010 told me it was time I left the Ice Age . She gave me her old Nokia and taught me the basics.
That Dec I received also my first PC.
I do believe that technology is helpful to save lives but also to keep people connected when friends go and live far away.
I have never used zoom but I can see it helps friends keep in touch more than just writing or phoning ( which has its costs)

However, as this is a contest entry I note that the requirement of the contest is for a RHYMING poem. You have plenty of time to modify your poem.

I love this ode not just to your specific friends, but to friendship itself and what it means. My oldest friend grew up next door to me, born the same year, so we've played together since we were crawling. Nowadays, we meet up maybe once every 2 years, but within minutes, we're philosophising and coming up with book plots. That's the test for me - if you can go great swathes of time without meeting, but then it's like no time has passed.
I really enjoyed your piece :-)
