This seventy-five-word story, Scars, has the proper word count and gives a "cutter" a piece of cherry pie that would be sweeter than the other thing.

Excellent entry for the 75 Word Story writing prompt contest. It's pretty scary. I know some people are addicted at cutting themselves. The picture is very gruesome and leads to belive that is what the story is about but then it's a pie? Maybe both...not sure.

Good flash fiction about

It flows well with descriptive words that paint a clear picture...

Good luck in the contest.

Ooooh that is a scary looking arm. I have a cousin who, both he and his wife, are cutters. It's so difficult to convince them not to do it. I can't understand the thrill, but I know it does something for them.

Nice analogy

Oh wow! First you make us think she is self- mutilating, then the reality, and we breathe again. Then another twist as we realise she really does self- mutilate! All this in seventy-five words. Great work. Best wishes - I m sure it will do well.

Oh well, what the h... I sure wouldn't want to know what causes anyone to take a blade to themselves. Like red? Buy the cherry pie and realize life is far better than you think.

I really enjoyed this, I am tempted to join in on the contest, but with posts like this I probably have my work cut out for me, lol, no pun intended no errors noted in the short piece.

A well told and distressing story. Your story made my guts churn - you brought the impact of self harm (or possibly murder) to the fore, and also my love of cherry pie. I'm hungry, so I could murder a piece right now.

I gladly give you my piece of cherry pie. Too sweet for me. Don't murder for it though, self harm is what I was going for.

Oh I wouldn't dream of taking your little piece - I'll have the rest of the pie please.

Ooh, clever crossover. I like that you end the visceral description with the pie reveal, but then gove us another reveal that makes the description more personal. Very nicely done.

Hmm, I'm not sure how this will be taken. It is an interesting piece of fiction and you do a good job substituting cutting into, what I assume is a cheery pie for slicing into a human arm.

Good luck in the contest.

I heard about this habit that some teenagers have it, but to be honest I don't understand it. I hate blood and I can't stand pain, so thanks God that this keeps me away "from sculpting my own body with a harsh knife." Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings

Sadly, self-harm is becoming more and more common and there seems to be no reason why. Thanks for your review.
