Thank you very much! Your entry was very creative. It was an interesting prompt to think about a different direction and be inspired by someone else's inspiration.

I know nothing about this "Bjork" so have no clue how to assess this poem but I know you probably captured the heart of the song that you referenced in your notes. Hope you do well in the contest!

Thanks for your review. I wasn't familiar with her songs either... those notes are details from the contest prompt. I had to go onto Youtube to hear some of her music.

You know you just painted most every guy's dream girl, don't you? Or at least the guys I know. The photo reflects that sentiment very well. Very strong and domineering words...mmmmmm.

Salaciously perfect.

I think you must associate with rather unpleasant types if they enjoy abusing and dominating girls like the biker giving the girl in this poem a hard time. 'Every guy's dream girl' might be eye candy draped across a motorbike but she doesn't deserve to be treated badly.

Never, ever abuse or try to dominate a woman. NEVER. My intentions may have gotten mis understood in the silence of the internet type. A woman is a queen in my eyes. I will protect and defend at all costs any of them. Eye candy, yes, but treated badly - no, no, no!

Please do not think of me in that sort of negative way.

Good. I'm glad you clarified that for me, and I apologise for overreacting to your initial reply.

No problem. I just really don't want anyone to think that of me. I'm an old fat Grampa who loves his wife dearly and respects women maybe even more than I should. I was just trying to respond to the message the photo and your verse was sending, that's all. Really, I'm a "good guy".

A raw and honest write about being bullied and controlled Lisa and I know what that feels like as I once knew someone just like this and was often crying inside over the relationship but knew I was not to blame for the arguments. A poignant write, love Dolly x

Both with emotion and imagery you capture the abused and trapped woman. It is excellently written and truly spot on. My older sister had a friend or two that were doormats to these types of individuals yet they hung on afraid of being alone or hoping he would change, sometimes with disastrous results.
Well done
Mary

Thanks Mary. Being alone is better than being abused, and trying to change a guy is not possible. I feel sorry for girls in this position. I was in a psychologically abusive relationship for a while (not with a biker).

I think your imagery is superb with the play on words about a real dog (bitch) with the abused woman, and her conflicting emotions., with being abused and trapped. It's excellent. Sending best wishes for this powerful entry in the contest.

Thanks for appreciating this rather gritty offering. I certainly appreciate the high rating!
I don't know much about biker gangs. I ride a motorbike myself but would never be attracted to that rough lifestyle. Here in NZ we are currently having an outbreak in Auckland of biker gang rivalry spilling into violence and drive-by shootings. (no-one dead yet, mostly houses shot up to terrify people.)

Oh that?s not good. There?s always a few who spoil things for everyone.

I'm always intrigued by antisocial bad behaviour and why a lot of people think it is preferable to enjoying good relations with people.

Just loved this, although I could never see you being a biker's bitch somehow, but I love the strong line up, somehow, I think a girl would have to have a propensity to like the cave man style person, beautifully written Jenny, blessings Roy

Good golly no, I would never be that girl and never be attracted to a biker. I always wanted the freedom of riding my own bike - I think the biker's girl just clings on the back being a decorative piece of ass. That might be highly inaccurate as I don't know any.

This poem, The Biker's Bitch, jabs at the readers' eyes as we imagine the pincushion, masochistic moll who exists at the pleasure of a human failure.

I have never met a biker's bitch, but your poem vividly describes what one's life might be like. I like your use of short, clipped lines and your visual imagery creates a sharp picture. Rod

Oh go on! You don't really believe she can ride that thing do you? Look at the angle. It is quite clear se is just sitting on it, stationary and with the prop stand down.

She's just for looks - I'm sure she just clings decoratively to her biker guy while perched dangerously on the pillion seat. Ho wouldn't like her having her own bike. (Not that I know much about bikers - I am a motorcyclist.)

    I fine distinction. Lol.

Fine as in first-rate or fine as in minimal?
reply by Pantygynt on 08-Jun-2022
    Minimal
reply by the author on 08-Jun-2022
Nah - I don't agree. Bikers are big and ugly and mean and selfish and ride bikes that are too big for them. As a motorcyclist I am not like that. I would hate to be called a biker.
reply by Pantygynt on 08-Jun-2022
I was not aware there was a distinction. Sorry.

We are having trouble in NZ at the moment with rival bikers' gangs doing drive-by shootings - Head Hunters, Killer Beez and Tribesmen
reply by Pantygynt on 08-Jun-2022
That's bad. Over here anyone who rides is a biker. There are a couple of bearded middle aged guys with a TV series called The Hairy Bikers. They ride all over the place and give cookery demonstrations. Lol. No I'm not joking.
reply by the author on 08-Jun-2022
Those Hairy Bikers sound cool, definitely not sticking to the stereotype.
