I watched his speech. I wept. Tonight I listened to the sole Nevalde Pediatrician speak of waiting at the ER for wounded...and having the first two murdered children brought in. Decapitated from the force of the weapon used. I could not catch my breath!

Yes, I didn't know to what extent were the wounds. I haven't been able to watch details...it's so sad and scary. My grandson starts preschool in August.

There is so much being written about the recent school shooting. Your poem is a beautiful tribute to all those who lost their lives. I will never understand why someone gets the notion to just go kill a bunch of innocent people. This world has changed so much in my 76 years here on earth. This is a lovely poem.

I was so glad that someone famous from Uvalde could speak to Congress. He did a great job to express our outrage that they have still done nothing to protect our school children!!

It's crazy. How many more children and adults have to die before the pass some laws? We are the worse country when it comes to gun violence.
