I think if I saw a sky like that I would run for my life. I like this short poem and your choice of words when writing it. The word posse is a perfect fit in the poem. I wish you worlds of luck in the contest.

There is a dark feeling as the reader sees the dark clouds forming over the prairie. I like the word "muscled", it gives an impact to your poem, the clouds are powerful and will rain havoc on the prairie. You have a vivid use of words.
