Thank you, I love the double refrain kyrielle that was offer in an early club challenge and thought this Picture this club challenge would be a great opportunity to practice another offering.

This is totally delightful in every way. As a former teacher, I could strongly relate to the images so clearly drawn, but more than that, I loved the beautiful meter and steady rhyming. The repeating lines fit in so neatly, and I know that is not an easy thing to do. This is definitely worthy of six stars.

I enjoyed this club entry, until now I was unfamiliar with this style of poetry. I appreciate the exposure:)
The repeated phrases create a loop effect that I have a positive reaction to. It creates a tempo that feels feathery and the words float down the page.

K.L. The club challenges, for me, are an excellent vehicle to explore all types of poetic styles while I keep my feet firmly planted in my favorite from which is free verse.

Beautifully written with vivid imagery and a great picture to support your poem. The picture reminded me of ones I saw of my father when he was young and the content of the time my brother & I attended my father's school for a brief time where they had separated play areas for boys and girls. This is a good poem. I love the repeated refrain at the end of each verse. The visual and the reference to playing Bopeep reminds me of a gentler time when kids could be free to cavort and not worry so much about being shot at school. I understand why it is a recognized poem because it is well-done. Good luck in the "Fun in the Sun" contest.

Christine, these weekly club challenges are precisely how I have discovered and began learning different poetic styles, most of which I had never been exposed to. I hope you find the opportunity to explore and have fun in so doing.

The author's words were filled with end of school year fun, are descriptive, clear and creative. I liked the author's description of the scene. I pictured this school out in the country somewhere! The poem flows and connects well. The artwork is awesome and goes well with these words.

This ia a very nice Double Refrain Kyrielle about recess. The picture looks like Little House on the Prairie days. I wonder if children still have recesses and a chance to cavort around the school. They still did in my day but the has changed.

Beth I thank you for pondering the thoughts about the good old school days. I am afraid, however, that children do not have much opportunity to enjoy such freedom in the schools any longer, sadly speaking.
