I liked the poem overall as it caught that end of term mood well. I think if the form mentions written in quatrains it would be advisable to write in quatrains rather than in a single block. Yes, I know the quatrains are there, but a line space between them would have pointed this up.
'It is bopeep the girls do play.' >> that 'do' does nothing to enhance the meaning as perhaps 'all' might have done. It is only there to force the rhythm.

Hi Jim, as always, great points! I am looking forward to Saturday. I have attempted to locate the booksellers of Wit and Wisdom of Ancient Latvian Poetry Vol. I & Vol. 2 in the states, but not been successful - the poetic style seems quite daunting!

I haven't found it either which is a pity but we can have fun trying to analyse what we have and see if we can emulate it.
