Hello, it made me happy to read this poem, as my parents used to foxhunt when they were younger. I hated it.

I wish all the foxes and coyotes they chased had been able to outwit and outlast them.

Thank you for sharing this.

Ciao mystery poet, you have your first vote.

I read that fox hunting is illegal since 2005 in the UK.

Personally , I think killing for sport is deplorable.

Foxes are cunning but the hunt is unfair and being torn apart by the pack is just barbaric.

Hunters now go trial hunting which consist in using bait to create a made trial the dogs follow.

But during the fake hunt the hounds could pick up a live animal scent and go after it.

I'm glad you fox outsmarted the hunters this time and so he lives another day.

Thank you for your review. So glad they no longer hunt foxes the way they used to. Such pretty animals. 🦊

I like foxes - last year, we had a family of cubs born under our shed. It was lovely, watching them play in the garden. Most people see them as pests, but if the worst thing they do is knock the bins over occasionally, I can live with that.

Loved your poem and its not to their ingenuity.

This 2-8-2, Escaped, has the proper formatting and lauds the clever fox which has outwitted fox hunters and whatever eats foxes for as long as there have been foxes.
