Someone once said a man is as old as the woman he feels. You seem to be the living proof of that and damn good luck to you. But you seem to be lucky enough without needing my good wishes.

I needed to edit a few words since you read it. Very small but necessary changes. Thank you.

A good read because you realize better than most that one cannot live in the past nor in the future. I like the examples you used to support your "present day" perfect age essay. They made sense and were persuasive enough. Because I am close to your age, I felt the font is too small. Consider enlarging it for us folks living our final and best years.

I made the change. That was a good suggestion for what I see for our audience are a ton of geriatrics, like me.

Exactly! It's great now. I make all of my entries in larger font.

What an excellent, well-written piece! It has all the elements of aging gracefully and happily with proper planning. I enjoy the way you write, Tom. You seem to be quite a character (in a good way). I guess it's okay to age, but my grandpa always said, "Don't get old."

I think this is a great answer to the question posed by the prompt. Younger me was fitter and had a freer imagination, and older me will have learnt more and understand people better (or not, lol). I can't be both - I can only be me, here, right now.
I very much enjoyed your piece, and I'm going to lay a guess at ... 72. :-)

Close but as someone said, I think in Big Jake, no cigar.
