Thanks, Shelley. I probably stole your free style.

A comet cometh, then a comet goeth. What it may or may
not leave behind depend on many variables. In the meantime
one should live for the day and not wonder what/when if. . . .
I like the color scheme and the formatting.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

Yes, and if it hits, none of the remaining bits will be able to unite in any meaningful way. If it lands and does not completely destroy, perhaps some random girl and boy, may unite and procreate us back into the game, to continue the fight.

If a comet hits, I may have to move elsewhere.

I like the idea that we wait for a step-change to bring us things instead of actively seeking them. Perhaps a boot cometh to get me to finish the next novel. Hmm...
I very much enjoyed :-)

Like all things that change, they occur slowly, methodically, or BAM!

Yes, a comet approaches. In this wacky world, if it hit us square on, it would solve a lot of problems. The whining would certainly stop.
Sending you my best today as always for the unique poem. Very striking, Bill. Oops, maybe a better word than striking....
My best for the contest too,

Thank you, Sal. Close only counts in horseshoes and comet strikes.
