They both remember the good old days. Don't we all :)
Great story, easy to read and follow the story line. I didn't see any errors. You did a wonderful job. Shirley

Thank you for sharing this from Staci's point of view and from Larry's. I enjoyed reading. It seems their point of views are very similar in many areas. I have wondered what has happened to former boyfriends.

Barbara, thank you. I was trying to show her a little bit shallow, but just a bit, the better guy got away. Terry.

A compelling story. The most compelling part is that it has the ring of unvarnished truth. The flow is good. The images are strong. The language fits well with deja vu. The recurrent theme of the 4th of July weekend speaks of life choices and the common wonder of "what if".
Thanks for a good read.

Dolly, thank you! Terry.

It's interesting that Staci wanted someone stable and true, and ended up with a loser. Larry, I suppose, was deemed the guy "most likely to go nowhere." Boy, was that wrong.
How many people do we all know who appeared to be destined for failure, who ended up getting their act together and doing really well? There are a lot of Larrys out there.
You've written an engaging story of the one that got away. I, personally, wonder about a certain someone . . .
Great read, as always.

I like the way you structure these stories, telling them from multiple perspectives and tying them together with catalyst crossover moments. I really enjoyed these life summaries and the gentle hint at wondering about what if...
'hoping to find true love or a substitute' - love this. Perfect way to describe how many of us acted as young men :-)

You're good at these, it's always a good idea to write stories through the eyes of two people, and I think the characters you choose, have a modern propensity to think in that modern way. They are often yuppies, upwardly mobile, (but where is there destination?) and finish up in more or less a different place to where they started with unrevised philosophies, perhaps the other angle may be the way to go, but excellent story, well done Terry, blessings Roy
