I love this so much. What a brilliant tribute to this magnificent historic artist. You're lucky that your mom introduced you to him and gave you this appreciation

Never hearing his own music? His hearing loss began at age 28 and he wasn't deaf until age 45. Most of his music had been composed by then. He passed away at age 56.

An absolutely amazing man of music. Almost completely deaf by 1814 he continued to compose and produced some of his most highly praised works after that time, including Symphony #9.

Really nice use of the acrostic form to honor such a talent.

Good job

Your poem was easy to read and flowed. You paid tribute to an amazing composer. I do love his music and I could listen to it ball day. Great entry and you followed all the rules. Good luck in the contest.

I am with you here. I wrote a poem last year about the exquisite joy he has brought and still brings - and even as I write I am listening to his music. A lovely tribute to him, and I hope this acrostic is very successful in the contest.

The poem follows the strict requirements of an acrostic poem and the required rhyming structure. You focused the subject matter on one of the great composers. I liked the detail about your mother playing his music. This reference brought a personal touch to the poem.

Well-written rhyming acrostic. It is also well-presented. The writing is large and bold making the text easy to read. I love the first word/first letter being a bold red. This poem is well-written, well-presented, and well-done.

Very good poem; met the stated criteria. It was cleverly done and of course the picture was the frosting on the cake. I do have one suggestion: "Over and through my soul it'd cascade." It might work better 'would than 'it'd.'
