Very nice, Terry. You showed a very vulnerable side of yourself in this story. I like the different perspectives as well. I don't think she was a Femme Fatale, either. She sounds like a human woman who makes bad decisions and good decisions like any other person. You likely could say that for most people (maybe even Femme Fatales).
The story is well written, engaging and fun with a bit of pathos thrown in as well. Great job - thanks for sharing!

That was a brilliant idea, having two stories that ended up totally different to what we thought it would. The married man's marriage was bound to fail, neither really knew each other and when the wife went back to her family, you knew then it was over. The love affair lasted a bit longer, but as they grew in their seperate careers, so the affair ended. But they, at least, found what they were looking for in a marriage. Very well done. I enjoyed reading it. :)) Sandra xx

We may think we know someone but we are all subject to different influences (work, friends, parents) that impact our behaviour. In your story, knitting both points of view in the relationship adds interest... it makes 2 stories that overlap then unravel.

An interesting life story which you developed well with the different points of view. Sometimes things are not as they seem to an onlooker but when the character expresses his/ her own perspective and thoughts there is an increased depth of awareness. Well written.

Wow Terry, is this all fiction? I've never read anything from you that wasn't pertaining to your life in general. Your writing as always is fabulous, but I hadn't looked to see if it was fiction, and it doesn't sound like you. So to be completely honest, I felt myself feeling strange as I read. I was picturing Zoe and praying that, well that this wasn't you, yet then there was the ending seemed like it could be your life. Dang it Terry, you are just too good of a writer so I was confused until I read that it was fiction. You are just too convincing and I guess that's what makes you such an incredible writer my friend.

Debi, LOL, I was trying to write something different. I had to use a few things I knew and somethings I didn't know. I am trying to one more like this that I will post next weekend. Thank you. Terry.

There are a lot of familiar details which make me think this may not be all fiction after all. But what I liked most about the story is that despite the heartbreak, there is no ill will and no blame thrown.

Helen, I was trying to write something different for me. I did use some of what I know and made up some things I did not know. I am going to do one more next week and I will how it goes from there. Thank you, Terry.

A story of failed relationships. One must think in the end was the resolution love or just tiring of the excitement and finally settling.

The story is written well. The flow is good. The pov changes keep us in touch with the characters. The images are clear. As with most human relations we are left with some unanswered questions. Nothing is neat and tidy.

Thanks for a good read.

You did a great job with your story, Terry. It was interesting
to read. I like the way you subtitled the His/Her story. You
characters are believable and relatable to many in real life.
Your words flow smoothly with great details. The ending is
perfect.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Reading this short story reminded me a lot of my own life. We meet a lot of people in our youth - when we're single - when we're ready for a good time. Then we meet "the one", and everything falls into place.

This is a well-told story that could be about a lot of us. Well written and straightforward. Enjoyed reading it.

Once you finish this mosaic of Terry Broxon, and we finish reading it, we'll know everything you want us to know about the author and I believe more than you knew about him before you began your tale.

HER STORY [Your use of topics and subtopics in your biographical pieces is every effective]

There's a lot to tell about you and your relationship with your first wife. I hope that's to come.

Jay
