I'm at home in Madrid today (quite unusual for a weekend) and this is almost as good as being in the countryside. I've always wanted to live in a house and eventually my husband and I bought a lovely cabin with a garden that looks like a little forest. I spend my happiest days there.
Your poem is very, very good. I can really see what you are describing and also relate to your feelings.
The presentation is also great and that is another type of art in itself.
I'm really happy I decided to read this.
Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for your review.
I always feel so much better adjusted when I go for a walk. It sounds like you have a lovely haven at the cabin and garden.

This makes me realise how lucky I am to live in such a place. Of course there are disadvantages such as mmud when it is wet and having to get the car out just to go to the shops. But one gets used to that and organises one's life around these things. I dread the day when I can no longer drive and I have to move into an urban environment.

Yes, there are some disadvantages, but as you say, it is a matter of being organised. Let's hope you have many more years as a driver. Writing will keep your mind sharp.

Beautiful!
I could feel the serenity, the peace you portrayed in your scene.
And I loved the ending with the image of dragging our feet back to the city.

Yes, country living is peace beyond compare.
I couldn't agree with you more. I love it in the countryside and up above in the hills as well.
The smells of fresh blooming flowers you can breathe in that country air. Feel the breeze ruffle my hair is so descriptive I can feel my hair ruffling as I read this. My favorite line is I will drag my feet so slow as back home I go.
Every time I go back to my residence I lose a piece of myself and leave it there in the countryside.
Thanks for reminding me of how much I love it outdoors!
Jesse

Yes, I think you've said you prefer the country to the big smoke, and really well written in triplets With that clever Mono rhyming to complete a very good theme and poem, well done, blessings Roy

I quite like this approach, of making a multi-stanza piece from 5-7-5s. It gives you a chance to put a bit more meat on the bones. I love the winding trail stanza, and the breeze ruffling hair gives us a connection to the content. I very much enjoyed.

Mike
